Synopsis:
Article Introduction, A Breakdown Of The KJV Bible New And Old Testaments By Book Title Chapter Count Verse Count And Word Count, Additional Explanations, Suggested Reading List
The following short article is for the curious in heart who may be interested in the statistical structure and breakdown of our beloved King James Bible. If you are on a cell phone, I cannot guarantee how these tables will appear. However, it is undoubtedly best to turn your cell phone sideways to landscape mode for the best results possible.
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:
* Be advised that the Book of Psalms has superscriptions under some of the Psalms. These annotations were not counted in the above charts being as they are not in the verses themselves. Also, Psalm 119 contains the characters of the Hebrew Alphabet translated into our English language. Even though these words are not in the verses themselves, they were counted because they are scattered throughout this particular Psalm.
* In similar fashion, the fourteen Epistles of the Apostle Paul are also sometimes accompanied by subscriptions at the end of some of his letters. These annotations were not counted in the above charts being as they are not in the verses themselves. They are credited to one Euthalius, who was a Fifth Century bishop. The wording has slightly been modified during the process of time. Some of them seem to disagree with the text.
With these thoughts, I will bring this article to a close. It is my hope that you've found it informative and enlightening, and I pray that it has been a blessing in your life as well.
