Synopsis:



Continuing our discussion from part three, now while I hold to the opinion that it is quite probable that in His wisdom, God -- who according to the Scriptures is the Creator of all things, who made everything through His Son, Jesus Christ -- created intelligent life in other parts of our galaxy, or at the very least in some other region of the universe, please understand that I most certainly do NOT embrace all of the foolish nonsense which I've described to you in this series. In fact, I have not even told you the worst of it. You see, according to some of the UFO fanatics, some of these aliens have supposedly informed them that they -- that is to say, the aliens -- were the architects of the human race. Yes, I know. That is complete blasphemy which outright contradicts the narrative which we find in the Book of Genesis, which is obviously the following:

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."


"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul . . . And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him . . . And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."


So, I just want to make the distinction that while I believe God may have created intelligent life elsewhere beyond the planet Earth, I do NOT accept all of the other silly baggage which the New Age crowd and other deceived individuals have attached to the basic premise of intelligent life existing in some other region of Outer Space. Now, assuming that such sentient, intelligent life really does exist, whether or not it possesses the advanced technology which would be required in order to reach our planet is another matter altogether.

For all we know, they could be considerably younger than our own human race. This suggests that they might not be nearly as technologically advanced as we are at this point in time. On the other hand, they could also be hundreds, thousands or millions of years older than ourselves. If the latter is the case, they may possess capabilities which we can only dream of at this stage. What if traveling through wormholes is a simple feat for them and they zip around traveling from star system to star system, and from galaxy to galaxy?

At any rate, it is deep issues such as these which I discuss in the aforementioned series called "Alien Life, Extrasolar Planets and Universal Atonement". But concerning all of the other nonsense, to embrace those deceptive New Age beliefs is one thing, but to teach them to others is to cause those people who accept them to likewise fall into the very same dark pit of deception and delusion. As we are told in the Gospels, it is similar to the blind leading the blind, so that both of them fall into the very same ditch, as we see by the following Bible verse:

"Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."


As we also discussed in part one, the Bible admonishes us to not be too quick to believe every spirit, but rather to try -- that is to say, to test or prove -- the spirits in order to determine whether or not they are really of God and speak His truth. To refresh your memory, the Apostle John wrote as follows:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."


The very best way that we can test these spirits and the New Age prophets, is simply by comparing what they have to say, with what the proven Word of God tells us. If they contradict the Bible in any way, then you can be certain that they are liars and deceivers, and certainly not of God. For example, contrary to New Age and Eastern religious beliefs, nowhere in the Bible do we find any mention of reincarnation. That is to say, the misguided belief that we human beings live multiple, consecutive lives; that we can take on various forms, which in itself depends on our past deeds; and that with each new life, we can rise to a higher plane of existence. However, quite to the contrary, the Bible clearly states that we each live only one time, and that is it, as we see by this verse:

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"


Neither does the Bible speak of human beings being some kind of alien/human hybrid as the "Space Brother" advocates like to claim. As we saw a moment ago, the Book of Genesis states that God created humanity in His own image. Personally, I understand this to mean in a physical sense with a head, a neck, a torso, two arms, two legs, two hands, two feet, etc. This becomes rather obvious just from examining the Bible. When the Angels appeared to Biblical characters, they had human form. When the Son of Man suddenly joined Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace, He too appeared as a human being. The captain of the Lord's host who the brave Israelite warrior Joshua saw as they fought against the city of Jericho, was also in human form with a sword in his hand.

Even in the Book of Revelation we discover that while Jesus obviously had a very exotic form, nevertheless, the Lord still possessed a very human form. So this point is beyond dispute. In fact, Angels can blend in so well with humanity, that the Apostle Paul tells us that we do not even realize when they are walking amongst us. Now there's a thought for you! Consider the following Bible verse:

"Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."


If you are interested in learning more about this subject, I suggest you consider reading my article called "Sex, a Bowl of Soup and the Nature of Angels". In part three, I mentioned to you that many New Age advocates seem to have an inclination to leave God and Jesus out of the picture for the most part. But this is not true in every case. There are some New Agers who do embrace Jesus. However, even they do NOT view Jesus in the same manner as we Christians do. In fact, as I mention in a number of my other UFOlogy-related articles, to those people, Jesus is NOT the Son of God or the Savior of the world. He's simply an enlightened human being and an "Ascended Master" who is now a member of the so-called "Great White Brotherhood".

According to the misguided beliefs of these New Agers, this Great White Brotherhood is comprised of Earth's best sages, philosophers, spiritual teachers and luminaries from our own past. They include figures such as Moses, Muhammad, Buddha, Confucius, and I am not sure who else. Jesus is counted with these Ascended Masters, who New Agers also refer to as the Avatars. But here is the real clincher. In this hierarchy of elevated entities, Jesus is NOT above any of them. He is an equal to them and on par with them. Now, as Bible-believing Christians, we know how utterly false this belief truly is. After all, God's Word clearly informs us that due to His very loving Sacrifice for our sakes, Jesus has been highly exalted and elevated above all, and His name is above every name, to the glory of God the Father. This Scriptural truth becomes evident by the following Bible verses:

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."


"For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."


You see, all a person has to do is to begin reading the Bible, and the light and truth of God's Word will begin to flood his or her being, and the spiritual darkness and deception will be driven away. It doesn't require chants, or sitting in a lotus position, or taking mind-altering drugs, or anything else. If you happen to be a sincere seeker of the truth, many of your questions can and will be answered just by opening the Bible. It is as simple as that. As we learned in part three, light and darkness cannot coexist. When the light is present, then the darkness must yield to it and flee. As King David writes, that light is found in the very Word of God, as we see by the following Bible verse:

"NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."


Furthermore, in the Gospels, Jesus likewise plainly tells us that He alone is the one true Light of the world, because He is the Living Word of God incarnate. That is to say, in the flesh. As John clearly wrote at the beginning of his Gospel, the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us. Consider this set of Bible verses which clearly confirm these various points:

"In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world . . . And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."


"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."


"As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."


"Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth . . . I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness."


"The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined."


"And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;"


"The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended."


"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there."


"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."


"Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:"


So, dear reader, I ask you to carefully consider these words. If you are one who has found yourself caught up in the lies and deceptions of the New Age movement; or if some eastern religion has got you in its clutches; or if the UFO fanatics have you waiting for a mass UFO landing; or if you've become deceived by the blatant lies of the Urantia Book which deny the absolute necessity of Jesus Christ's Atonement; or if the misguided words of the many wannabe false prophets who now plague our own Christian faith have got you mesmerized; then I urge you to begin questioning the voices that you are now listening to. Don't allow yourself to continue to be deceived by any of them. Shut them out and turn to God's Word.

My personal belief has long been that God speaks to us quite loudly and clearly through His written Word. If you hear or read or even receive something that does not conform to God's Word, or that even outright contradicts it, then you need to throw it out immediately, and rebuke its source. I simply do not believe that God will contradict what He has already said in His written Word. The Bible informs us that God is not the author of confusion. As we learned earlier, Satan is, because he is in fact the Father of Lies. Please consider this group of Bible verses which concern the Gift of Prophecy:

"Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."


There are now so many so-called "prophets", gurus, spiritual teachers, psychics, channelers, holy men, etc., in the world today, that it has in fact resulted in great confusion both within and without the Body of Christ. God's Word, and God's Voice, is one, just as He is one. He will not say one thing through one of His true prophets or teachers, and then turn around and contradict Himself by saying something entirely different through another one of His prophets or teachers, because His truth is also one, and not many truths. We can only be truly unified by one truth, and not by many versions of the truth. It may have been for this very reason that the Apostle Paul was inspired to write the following lines:

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."


It is for this reason that I am convinced that the spiritual confusion which has resulted from so many religions, and so many different voices, and so many different holy books, is Satan's doing, and certainly not God's doing. As I explained in part one of this series, it is Satan's tactic of mixing the tares in with the good wheat, in order to confuse and to divide, and that is exactly what we see in the world today.

So much of what is promoted by the New Age movement, as well as by some of the Eastern religions points inward to self. In contrast, the Bible admonishes us to look outward and upward to Christ; for in Him alone do we find our hope. This alone is a major difference between Christian theology and all of these other false belief systems. God's Word plainly declares that Jesus is the answer and our only hope of Salvation, while all other belief systems falsely teach us that the answers can be found within ourselves. In the Epistle to the Hebrews we find the following verse:

"LOOKING UNTO JESUS the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."


If Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, as well as the one true Light of the world, and our only means of obtaining true Salvation, then He is all that we truly need. We do NOT need the confusing psychobabble of the New Age movement; or the tiresome introspection of Eastern religions; or a bogus form of salvation coming by way of some advanced alien race; or the antichrist, blatant lies of the Urantia Book; or even the deceptive words of the fast-talking, American television preachers and the online wannabe false prophets. Again, all that we actually need is Jesus and His Word. So if you truly want to be filled with the spiritual light which comes from God alone, and not with Satan's false light, please embrace Jesus today if you haven't already done so. He patiently and lovingly stands at the door of your heart, waiting for you to invite Him into fellowship with you. As we read in the Book of Revelation:

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."


Jesus desires to forgive you for your sins of rebellion and unbelief, but you must be willing to take the first step. You must recognize that you have missed the mark, and that you have been deceived by the misguided philosophies of men. Until one recognizes that there is something wrong, he can't possibly obtain the cure. If you had cancer, would you deny that you did, or would you seek a cure? In similar fashion, sin is like a cancer which grows and spreads, and ultimately destroys our lives, unless we ask for help from the Great Physician: Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

It is time for you to recognize that you must forsake all of these other voices, because they simply are not of God. They are in fact the voices and spirits of doubt, delusion and deception, sent by Satan himself. Through feeding his lies to your mind, he knowingly keeps you in bondage to his will. It is time for you to allow Jesus to set you free from your prison of spiritual darkness, because this is exactly one of the things that He came to do. Consider these Bible verses:

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."


"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."


So as you can see, God wants to liberate you, and to restore your spiritual vision, but the choice is up to you. You must be willing to allow Him to remove the scales of deception and delusion from your eyes, just as He did with the Apostle Paul some two thousand years ago. Consider these Bible verses:

"And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized."


What you need to understand is that the miracle of having his physical eyesight restored was actually accompanied by an even more important spiritual miracle. As I explain in other articles, prior to that time in his life, due to his own self-righteous pride at being a law-abiding Pharisee, Paul's hatred toward the young Christian Church led him to persecute and kill the followers of Christ. However, once the Lord struck down Paul during that well-known journey on the road to Damascus, his life changed in a major way, and he became a burning ember for the Lord. Your life can change as well. That is, if you are willing to abandon any false beliefs that you may currently embrace, and accept Christ today. Will you? I certainly hope so, because He is waiting for you to make the right decision.
