There is a common belief,
That when we accept the Lord,
We'll obtain instant victory,
Over Satan's evil horde.

But this idea is misguided,
For our battles never cease,
Tho young, old or in-between,
The Devil offers us no peace.

It's truly a lifelong battle,
All Christians need to know,
So ask God to give you faith,
And watch out for Satan's blow.
