Divide and conquer, has always been the Devil's ruse,
Some folks don't get it, they seem to miss all the clues.
A nation so divided, the red hats against all the blues,
We're all the victims, no matter which side we choose.

Yet you choose to argue, and promote your own views,
But without strong unity, we're all certainly sure to lose.
The politicians don't help, they purposely light the fuse,
Violence breaks out, we watch it on the evening news.

Our leaders don't represent us, their powers they abuse,
So we have to wonder, from whom they take their cues.
Now unless we all wake up, we will surely pay our dues,
As bodies begin to pile up, we'll be praying in our pews.
