So many folks in themselves confide,
But pride is just the Devil's ride.
Our sins and mistakes we try to hide,
But it was for that reason Jesus died.

Yet still Satan opens his mouth wide,
His lies are a very deceptive tide.
He endeavors to win us to his side,
Beware of his tricks, he just lied.

Pride and vanity caused him to slide,
By God's Throne, he refused to abide.
As for me, God's Word is my guide,
Will you believe Him? Please decide.
