THE MAGI

by Bill Kochman

04-09-2014

O'er water and land they diligently came,
To see Him who had been born to be King,
Gold, frankincense and myrrh they brought,
No doubt it was the most wonderful thing.

They came from afar led by a bright star,
Which ever beckoned them toward the west,
They knew not then the who and the when,
Or that they moved by God's own request.

Alas they were there, love filled the air,
As they humbly knelt before the young lad,
The wise men knew the stars had read true,
And this child would make many hearts glad.
