TOXIC

by Bill Kochman

11-19-2017

It is certain we have lost our senses,
To Planet Earth look what we have done,
Our cities have become so polluted,
We can barely see the stars and Sun.

Water supplies are tainted with toxins,
Everyday we breathe in dangerous fumes,
Our crops are filled with chemicals,
Surely we are building our own tombs.

Plastics have become a huge scourge,
They fill oceans from east to west,
God gave us such a wonderful world,
But we have miserably failed His test.

The Earth is the Lord's we're told,
The Bible makes this truth so plain,
So considering what we've done to it,
Is there any doubt we must be insane?
